Pushpa was proactive in the Indian American community. She was a founding member and past president of RAJMAAI, the Rajasthan Medical Alumni Association. She served as Secretary and Treasurer of the As- sociation of Indians in America (AIA) and was instrumental in bringing the Diwali celebration to Times Square. She played an active role volunteering for several organizations including Ra- jasthan Association of North America (RANA) and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), organizing events and conferences across the country and internationally. An avid painter, Pushpa was an artist at heart. She could transform the mundane into art; her creativity is reflected in every corner of her home. The doors of her home were always open, the food always warm, and the love and kinship never-ending. What she cherished most was the precious moments she spent with her grandchil- dren, Mohan and Suzain.
