www.newsindiatimes.com – that’s all you need to know Indian Embassy Issues Advisory In UAE; Advises Indian Nationals To Stay Alert, Calm T he Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi on Thursday issued an advisory for the Indian nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to remain vigilant and calm and follow the safety guide- lines of the UAE authorities as the tensions in West Asia continue to rise. “In view of the prevailing situation in the United Arab Emirates and the region, all Indian Nationals currently in the UAE are advised to continue to remain vigilant, calm, adhere to the safety guidelines of the UAE authorities and also follow official advisories issued from time to time,” the Indian Embassy stated in the advisory. The Embassy clarified that the airspace and the regular flight operations are still suspended in view of the situation; however, the Indian and the UAE airlines have commenced limited non-scheduled flight operations to multiple destinations in India, in coordination with the UAE authorities, subject to operational and safety approvals of relevant authorities. The stranded Indian nationals may avail themselves of these flights by contacting their respective airlines. Speaking on the passport and consular services, the Indian Embassy wrote, “The Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai and their outsourced passport, consular and visa services are continuing to function normally.” Additionally, the advisory also stated 24*7 helpline numbers for the Indian Nationals in the UAE. “For any query and concern, Indian nationals in the UAE can contact the following 24×7 helplines: Toll-free number: 800-46342, WhatsApp: +971 543090571. The query can be raised through email to pbsk.dubai@mea.gov.in and ca.abudhabi@mea.gov.in ,” the advisory read. Furthermore, the Indian Embassy stressed that the Indian Government is making efforts to enbsure safety of Indians abroad, underlin- ing that the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are in constant touch with the UAE authori- ties. “The Government of India continues to at- tach the highest importance to the safety and well-being of the Indians abroad and is moni- toring developments at the highest level. The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Indian Consulate in Dubai remain in close touch with the UAE authorities and the community leaders to ensure the well-being of the Indian diaspora in the UAE,” the advisory stated. According to the advisory, the Embassy and the Consulate will continue to issue updates and advisories through their website and social media handles. This comes after the US and Israel conducted coordinated airstrikes across multiple Iranian cities, targeting military command centres, air-defence systems, mis- sile sites, and key regime infrastructure. These strikes resulted in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and four senior military and security officials, with large explosions reported in Tehran and other major cities.. -ANI Indian Embassy In Doha Issues Travel Advisory For Indians In Qatar Amid West Asia Tensions T he Embassy of India in Doha provided in- formation regarding visa, transit and travel outside Saudi Arabia for the Indian diaspora in Qatar amid escalating tensions inWest Asia. In an advisory issued on Friday March 6, 2026, the Embassy provided a registration link for strand- ed Indian nationals in Qatar on transit to facilitate obtaining a temporary transit visa for Saudi Arabia. Indians who have confirmed tickets for travelling out of Saudi Arabia can utilize the link. “Embassy of India, Doha, is opening a registra- tion link to facilitate in obtaining temporary transit visa for Saudi Arabia only for those Indian nationals who are currently stranded in Qatar on transit, pro- vided they have confirmed tickets for travelling out of Saudi Arabia. In such cases, they may register on the link forms.gle/oTwqEQYa4z22oX,” the Embassy stated. The Embassy amplified the announcement by the Ministry of Interior, Qatar, extending “all catego- ries of entry visas that have expired or are about to expire for a period of one month, subject to further extension in line with developments, effective from Feb- ruary 28, 2026.” Indians were further informed that “the option of exit- ing Qatar through the Salwa land border crossing to Saudi Arabia is currently open,” for emergency situations. “Indian nationals who hold US, UK or Schenghen visas (which have been used at least once) can obtain visa on arrival in Saudi Arabia. Other Indian nationals wishing to travel via Saudi Arabia can apply for Saudi visas as per due procedures,” the Embassy stated. “At the time of registration, please provide copies of inward flight tickets to Qatar as well as a confirmed ticket for travelling out from Saudi Arabia. All other logistical ar- rangements related to travel up to the Salwa border cross- ing and beyond to the departure airport etc. will need to be made by each individual themselves. It may be noted that sufficient time (at least 48 hours) will be required by the Embassy to provide such facilitation,” it added. The Embassay further urged the residents in Qatar to stay in safe locations, avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from exposed areas. It further reflected on the advisories of the Qatar authorities for the people to follow. ”In view of the current security situation, all Indians in Qatar are requested to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the Qatari authorities, in par- ticular, the Ministry of Interior. The Ministry has ad- vised all residents of Qatar to stay in safe locations, avoid going out except in cases of extreme necessity, and keep away from windows and exposed areas. The Embassy is also sharing the advisories of Qatar authorities through its social media channels, X (@IndEmbDoha), Facebook (@IndianEmbassyQa- tar) and Instagram (@indiainqatar),” the advisory read. The Embassy urged the passengers to remain in touch with their respective airlines, while Qatar Airways will update on Saturday, March 7. “Qatar airspace continues to remain closed and flight operations are temporarily suspended. Qatar Airways will provide the next update on March 7, 2026 at 0900 hrs (Doha time). All passengers are re- quested to remain in touch with respective airlines,” the advisory further stated.
