The Pawan Kalyan-starrer will now arrive in theatres earlier than planned. On Thursday, the makers took to their X account to share that the film has been moved fromMarch 26 to March 19, 2026. The new date falls on the festival of Uga- di. The film will now clash with Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurand- har 2’, which stars Ranveer Singh. The post read, “Ustad massacre this Ugadi. Our USTA- AD arrives a week early to spark Massive celebrations at the box office. #UstaadBhagatSingh GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 19th MARCH, 2026.” Ustaad Bhagat Singh is an adaptation of Atlee and Vijay’s 2016 Tamil filmTheri. The film has been in pro- duction since 2023. It stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role along with Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna in key parts. The film features music by Devi Sri Prasad, who has delivered several hit albums in recent times. Cinematog- raphy is handled by Ayananka Bose, and editing is by Ujj- wal Kulkarni. The screenplay is written by K. Dasharath, with additional writing by C. Chandra Mohan. Kalyan was last seen in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which hit theatres on July 24, 2025. The film features actor Bobby Deol as the antagonist. The series marks Patekar’s debut on a streaming platform and will premiere on March 11. The two-minute, two-second trailer, shared by the makers on Thursday, shows Patekar in the role of Ma’at Saab, an influential educator. The trailer depicts a clash between the mentor and his student. The story focuses on power, loyalty, and ambition. Sankalp is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Prakash Jha. The series is inspired by the Chanakya-Chandragupta chronicles and is set in present-day India. It explores power, politics, and the bond between a mentor and a student. Apart from Nana Patekar, the series also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Neeraj Kabi, Kub- bra Sait, and Kranti Prakash Jha in key roles. It is pro- duced by Jyoti Deshpande for Jio Studios and Dishaa Jhaa under the banner of PJP Films Productions. Speaking about his OTT debut, Nana Patekar, in a press note, said, “Playing Ma’at Saab has been a huge learning experience, and it led me to explore a new dimension. The show, set in the Patparganj District Court, became popular for its light take on legal cases and its group of quirky lawyers. The new season will once again follow their lives and cases inside and out- side the courtroom. The series is produced by Posham Pa Pictures. It is led by showrunner Sameer Saxena and directed by Ra- hul Pandey. The new season is written by Syed Shadan, Mohak Aneja and Tatsat Pandey, with Kunal leading the writing team. Speaking about the new season, Ravi Kishan, as per a press note, said, “can’t believe I am saying this, but I am looking forward to going to court! I can’t thank the audience enough for the love and adulation that poured in for the first season of Maamla Legal Hai. This season, Tyagi is eager to prove himself as a judge, but it’s a task easier said than done. Yahaan har maamla serious hota hai, par tareeka bilkul hatke.” Season 2 will continue the story of V.D. Tyagi and other lawyers in the court. The show will also look at what lies ahead for Sujata, Ananya Shroff and Vishwas Pandey. Kusha Kapila and Dinesh Lal Yadav join the cast this season.
