The theme of the Annual Anesthesia Conference & Board Meet- ing was Elevating Quality And Innovations In Anesthesia. With more than 3,000 members, the CSA is one of the largest and most influential medi- cal professional societies in California and the nation, according to its website. Dr. Trivedi, former President of CSA, who received this prestigious award for excellence in the field of medicine, also had the honor of delivering the keynote address at the CSA Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony at the Disneyland Hotel, in Anaheim, CA. He delivered his speech on the topic “My Journey to Leadership: From a Small Village in India to the USA”. The audience responded enthusiastically to his address. The CSA, in a pre-event announcement that its annual meeting offers members vari- ous panel discussions on subjects of interest as well as “World-class education; Hands-on workshops; and Meaningful connection with colleagues across California.” The CSA was founded in 1948 and incorpo- rated in 1953 as a voluntary, non-profit asso- ciation of physicians interested in the practice of anesthesiology, the organization’s website says. Today, CSA’s members, elected officers, and Board of Directors are volunteer anes- thesiologists advocating on behalf patients, patient safety, and the highest standards of anesthesiology, it adds. The CSA works closely with the American Society of Anesthesiolo- gists, ASA, to advocate for these interests at the state, local, and national levels. T he Atlanta Chapter of Sewa International USA hosted its 19th annual “Holi – Festival of Colors” at the Cumming Fairgrounds, in Cummings, GA, March 7, 2026, bringing together thousands of at- tendees from across the community for a joyful celebra- tion. Sewa International (www.sewausa.org) is a 501 (c) (3) Hindu faith-based charitable nonprofit that works in the areas of disaster recovery, education, and development. Sewa has 43 Chapters across the USA and serves regard- less of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin, a press release from the organization said. People of all ages welcomed the arrival of spring with color throwing, music and dance performances, and a variety of foods. Georgia State Representative Carter Barrett and Fulton County Commissioner Bridget Thorne attended the event. “Events like this bring people together and showcase the rich cultural diversity that makes our com- munity so vibrant,” said Thorne. “It was wonderful to see families and friends celebrating together in such a joyful atmosphere.” “Sewa International continues to do tremendous work bringing communities together through service and cultural celebrations. Holi is a beautiful example of how traditions can unite people from all backgrounds,” Bar- rett added. “Sewa Holi is more than a festival of colors; it is a cel- ebration of community, culture, and the spirit of service,” said Raj Radhakrishnan, President of Sewa Atlanta. “We are grateful to the thousands of attendees, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who joined us in making this celebration a memorable experience.” The Sewa Atlanta team recognized community partici- pation and the dedication of numerous volunteers and the continued encouragement from local partners. The Forsyth County Commissioners’ Office, the staff at the Cumming Fairgrounds, and the Cumming Police Depart- ment were thanked for their support in ensuring the event ran smoothly and safely.
