Don’t Be Shy follows the story of Shyamili ‘Shy’ Das, a 20-year-old girl who thinks she has everything figured out until her perfectly planned life takes an unpredictable turn, and things begin to spiral out of her control. Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under the banner of Eternal Sunshine Productions, and co-produced by Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani from Chalkboard Enter- tainment. The film is headlined by four new faces: Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora, and Piyush Khati. Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik also play pivotal roles in the film. In a joint statement, Alia and Shaheen said, “Don’t Be Shy has been extremely special to us from the very beginning, and we couldn’t be prouder to see it come to life. It captures something so honest about be- ing young–the friendships that shape you, the first loves that change you, the heartbreaks that stay with you, and the process of gradually figuring out who you are. What excites us most is this brilliant young cast; their energy, vulnerability, and chemistry are magnetic, and they bring such life and honesty to these charac- ters. We can’t wait for audiences in India and around the world to meet Shy and get swept into her wonderful, chaotic world.” ‘Don’t Be Shy’ will be out on Prime Video on September 25. - ANI T he first song from actors Kunal Kemmu and Pre- ity Zinta’s upcoming film ‘VIBE’ is finally out. The makers, on Thursday, re- leased the film’s first song, titled ‘Raaton Mein Aana’, composed and sung by Amit Trivedi, with lyrics by Kumaar. The song brings a playful side to the film and comes with a catchy tune and teasing lyrics. ‘Raaton Mein Aana’ is presented by Tips Music and is now out ahead of the film’s September 18 release. The teaser of the high-stakes film, unveiled earlier this month, shows Kemmu and Sparsh Shrivastava as two ordi- nary friends who suddenly find themselves caught in a danger- ous situation. The teaser introduces Kunal as Hardik and Sparsh as Bugs, who are neither trained nor ready to become heroes but are pushed into a mission to protect the country. What follows is a mix of action, comedy and chaos as the two get caught up in a situation much bigger than they expected. Preity G Zinta plays a key role in the film and is seen as a confident woman who appears to be in charge of the mission. Her character is shown giving directions to the two unlikely heroes as they are pulled deeper into the situation. ‘VIBE’ follows two close friends whose simple lives take an unexpected turn, leading them into a fast-paced situation that tests their friendship and ability to survive. Kunal Kemmu has written and directed the film and also stars in it alongside Preity, Sparsh Shrivastava and debutant Van- shika Dhir. The film is produced by Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani under Drongo Films. ‘VIBE’ is an Amazon MGM Studios film and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18. - ANI Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf Wages War Against British Raj For Freedom In Nikkhil Advani’s Period Drama T he trailer of Nikkhil Advani’s ‘The Revolutionar- ies’ is finally out, offering a glimpse into high- octane period drama in which four individuals lead the armed resistance against the British Raj for India’s independence. The series stars Bhuvam Bham, Rohit Saraf, Prat- ibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada in lead roles, with Jason Shah, Paoli Dam, and Tota Roy Chowdhury in key roles. The series is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book ‘Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How IndiaWon Its Freedom.’ The trailer introduced four revolutionaries, includ- ing Rash Behari Bose (Bhuvan Bam), Sachindra Nath Sanyal (Rohit Saraf), Pratibha Lahiri (Pratibha Ranta), and Bagha Jatin (Gurfateh Pirzada) as they wage an armed resistance against British rule, with the formida- ble General Dyer (Jason Shah) closing in at every turn. The video was full of high-octane action scenes, capturing the scale of a rebellion forming against the might of an empire. Despite all the action, the series is expected to highlight youth, friendship, conviction and sacrifice, with four young Indians risking everything for a free nation they may never live to see. Prime Video shared the trailer on their Instagram handle onWednesday. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcgI7kokpc7/? Bhuvan Bam opened up about his character in the series, saying ‘Rash Behari’ was a master of disguise who infiltrated British camps. “What excited me about The Revolutionaries was that it isn’t a conventional freedom-fighter drama. It’s a story about four young heroes fighting for what they believe in, while navigating conflicts and a brotherhood forged in blood. Rash Behari was a ‘behrupiya’, a master of disguise who infiltrated British camps. Because so little archival material exists about him, I had the freedom to build him from instinct, and Nikkhil sir’s clarity and conviction gave me the confidence to explore that mys- tery. We have had the best cast and crew come together to make this show, and I’m grateful to Prime Video for bringing these untold stories to audiences around the world,” said Bhuvam Bam, as quoted in the press note. Rohit Saraf, who plays Sachindra Nath Sanyal, said, “Playing Sachindra Nath gave me the opportunity to step into a world that was completely new, both physi- cally and emotionally. While it is an honour to portray a real-life hero from India’s fight for freedom, what stayed with me was his childlike innocence paired with an unshakeable conviction; qualities that make him remarkably relatable even today. It was a role that required intensive training, allowing me to push myself far beyond my comfort zone. Collaborating with Nikkhil Advani and the team behind The Revolutionaries has been nothing short of a dream, and I hope the audience connects with my character and the poignant stories this series brings to light.” The series is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under the banner of Emmay Enter- tainment.
